wow!
heh, thanks for the cameo. i'm always being assulted by pinchy gasmasky baddies.
FINALLY there's someone helpin' me out.
vote: chris.
and not because he drew me in there, but because i just think it's a better drawing. the background and composition is awesome, and his inking skills are really starting to blossom.
and honestly, juan, your's just doesn't really look a whole lot like tech jacket to me. it's not a bad drawing, it just doesn't say Tech Jacket to me. and the background is a little boring.
good one, fellas.
:(...
...I voted for Chris. He did a great job with his and he should be really proud of it. Thanks for accepting my challenge, Chris. This was pretty fun to do.

Who did I vote for? Jaun!
It's not a sympathy vote either. I really like his pencil work over chris'.

Juan's reminds of the comics I read in the 90's, Chris's reminds of what I'm reading now.
If that makes sense I've got a patent on it.
Good job both you guys.

Juan. ;) I just liked the pose.. make the emblem and the eyes a little bigger and it would have captured the character right on..
Chris's looks more *like* the character in question but Juan's level of tech detail sold me.
kudos to both.
-cheers

Decided that posting the current "score" was not a good idea. Sorry.
GO JUAN!
I love the level of detail Juan put into this pick. If I saw that on the cover of some mag at the comic shop, I would buy it. Period.
Good job to both.
Chris got my vote. It's at least more involving than Juan's. I like Chris' but it's got something that smoke almost destroys the image... The figures are nice.
Juan, I'm sorry. Your pick looks "cheap" to me. Don't take offense, but it's kind of a stock pose with some ordinance that we all know you could draw much better. The little hatchings don't really add up to detail in my book, either. I really feel this image is below your level of skill.

Chris, your picture is strong overall - but the actual representation of the Tech-jacket isn't strong enough to compete with your excellent foreground and accompanying 'bits and pieces'.
It actually stands out, for me, as being a weak piece of drawing in amongst what is otherwise a very good picture.
Harsh opinions are becoming hard to avoid.
Must.....soften..........responses..............
Damn! You people are hard on us artists!
We are not pros you know!
Jeez...at least we tried. Give us some credit...

Please don't write about any of my artwork again. You have really offended me with your statement. I give my all in my artwork and to have someone proclaim that it is "cheap" is truly insulting.
