How do you copy a screen image as a picture file?

This is for something I'm trying to figure out in for may day job.

You know how people can copy their screen of photoshop for tutorial purposes? That's what I need to be able to do. I want to copy as an image file what I see on my screen.

Please help!!

Well, there's the standard Print Screen key and then paste it in PS method...but that doesn't capture your cursor, just everything else. I'd check http://www.tucows.com or http://www.downloads.com for a small screen capture program that captures the cursor as well. I'm pretty sure they're out there.
