Somewhere along my artistic road I'm planning to make an ultra-violent story with characters like these .. The contrast between the 'soft' cartoon style and the raw violence should add a nice touch..

um......yes! the 'landed an elephant' made me crack!

Jesus Ra...great stuff. I'd love to see some of these sketches inked up nice and smoooth. I reckon they'd look fantastic.

since u took the time to do these nicely shaded characters , y don't u start making small, quick strips about them. I think they'd b a riot.

Pimpchimp : Man, it's weird.. When I try to be funny (e.g. thinking up a scenario for a little strip) I'm not; yet sometimes -out of the blue- I get a funny idea..
Thanks!

Art of Drowning : Glad you found it funny!

Spike : :) Actually, I don't ink. At least not sketches like these. I have the uncontrolable urge to shade, and since I'm really not good at crosshatching (or inking in general), I don't ink. I rather color!
Thank you for the reply!

Hangman : I'm first going to think up little stories for them.. or one big story; and then I'll start the drawing. These were just for fun..

You know, I just realized what your cartoony drawing reminds me of. Shrek. It's the round, subtle exaggeration mixed with the smooth shading.

Well when someone compares my sketches to fully rendered cg I'd take it as a compliment.
