Nice work there. I have no real crits. If I saw this on a spinnerrack, there's a good chance I'd buy it.

For some reason I like the first one more than the final. His pose seems more tough. Awesome work man.

Looks very slick.
I like the facial expression on the prelim more than the final, though. I'm not really feeling that pissed-off badass look from the 2nd. The background face was better done in the prelim than the final, with the nose and mouth being the big culprits.

Thanks guys!!
I have to agree on a few points. First the pose on the first I liked as it was the initial one. My client decided he wanted the trident in the left hand and I think holding that trident took away a bit of the tough.
As for the background face, I think I intentionally tried to deviate from that face to make him look even meaner, because this Namor was proposed to me by the client as being 'Dark' Namor, the way Jae Lee would render him, thus the long face.
I like how I rendered the second Namor though and I did learn some things from this one so I think that's also important. :)

Right on there DARKSTORMGRAPHIX, I love your style of art. You always have the rendering down pretty much pattened!
You did a jodjob with the water splashing too - I always screw that type of thing up :)
:)

Hehe, cool. I did a Namor/Namorita for him, which was a lot of fun.
I wonder how so many of these guys can afford paying us to do all of these pinups?

I don't really read any Marvel books, but I think this looks a hell of a lot better than the new Namor.
Thumbs up!

I've been waiting to see this peice. Very nice Shade. Give's us some more:D.
PEACE,
Drop
I dunno i love the foreground Namor, but i real dislike the background namor. I hear what your saying with Jae Lee and all that but Lee's is consistantly stylized, and your pics not....it really doesn't work for me.<-----opinion

It's an opinion, true, but I can't please everyone. :) I'm constantly experimenting to see what I like/don't like and sometimes you can't see what works until you see what doesn't work. I personally like the 'style' of the background Namor, especially since the foreground Namor is done differently. Just my opinion.
Thanks guys!

Scott,
This turned out really nice.. I can see the Jae Lee influence.
Now if this piece was inked.. well that would be even nicer ;)

Hey Bill, thanks! The client who commissioned this was actually a big Jae Lee Namor fan and my preferred drawing style is dark and moody so it just kind of worked out.
If you can ink with a wacom, go ahead and take the pic. I'd love to see you take a stab at inking it! :)
