It's cool we'll get it going.
Someone want to help?
Thanks much.
I can't see the images but it looks like a good turn out!
I'd love to help guys but I've never done one of these before. Right now I'm playing the guy looking over the other guys' shoulders going, "So is it broke?" I'll be praying for you. JV

there you go guys...
let the voting commence!!
Went with ThePaleMan, even though his Rocketeer looks more like Jango Fett. Bruce's was extra nice as well.

It was a tough choice between Bruce and Phil.
Ultimately, I went with Bruce.
His showed ALOT of imagination and a great sense of composition.
Yes, the Nazi does look like a Hobbitt,( ;) Bruce), but all in all it is a nice piece of artwork.
I liked Phils as well and it's very well drawn but to me it lacks variety. (Not enough background or storytelling going on.)
Congrats Bruce ! ;cap;
PS: Everyone please note: Bruce takes crits very well which shows he's going somewhere.

Everyone note bruce is blushing.
Good show everyone!
I had to go with ThePaleMan.
Krosis was close buit I am really digging what was done with the planes. So much going on with it.
Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves though.
That's always good.

The composition is way off.
I think people are voting for it because the planes look damn cool.
But remember: the drawoff is about the Rocketeer, not the planes.
This is not to knock Paleman too hard since there is alot of action and drama in the pic.
It's like playing "Where's the Rocketeer?".
Also it doesn't look like the Rocketeer and I can tell whether I'm looking at the ground or the sky in the background.

Had to go with Bruce on this one. Although I loved the technique used by Krosis on his piece, Bruce's seemed to fit the era and feel that the rocketeer portrays. Good job on all these guys.

the draw off is about the rocketeer. the planes are fricken awesome though! :D
so down to Jv7x and bruce. i love Jv7x's colors and the entire drawing itself. but... i had to go with bruce on this one. if Jv7x drew a background i wouldve prolly picked him.
what made me choose bruce's is the awesome point of view and the way that the smoke leads you thru the entire picture.
id still like to give everyone a big hand. good job guys.

A a professional Rocketeer fanatic who had a crush on him for years as a young girl, Krosos captures him by far the best. The Rocketeer wasn't flashy or ripped, but the the hero that represented the times and was quite fallible as we all are. He did what was right and that's what made him the hero, not the pack. The dynamic stance and mood of Krosos' pic drips in that.

Jv7 gets my vote! I really like the old school look of it...plus, anyone getting ready to put one in Hitler is good enough for me. Also, i do really like the way he portrayed the Rocketeer. Nice job all!:D

Went with jv7x because I think he captured the spirit of the Rocketeer the best...its got a great 'nostalgia' affect to it.
And his rendition of Hitler is soooo dreamy....

I have to agree that these are some of the best pics I've seen in a draw-off.
there is a lot of enthusiasm in these pieces and it shows.
In regards to my entry, all crits, bith positive and negative are appreciated and true on all counts.
I have to say that I was having a hard time picking a favorite, but I really have to agree with all that Osprey said, even though my own entry doesn't reflect some of that.
I went with Krosis. Phil was a close second for me, just for the Betty Paige, but I think it just needed something more.
Great job, everyone.

Since it looks like the polls are winding down I would just like to say that this was one hell of a draw-off! Great pics and stiff competition, that's what it's all about! I would like to congratulate all the artist here for a job well done!
Paleman cranked out an awesome pic that seems to pull you right in! Great job with the planes and the flag (nice touch) I love that over the top drama! As I said before I wasn't a hugh fan with the "Ultimate Rocketeer" look but a damn fine job nonetheless!
Bruce did an amazing job and to me it is the most finished of all the entries. Good backgrounds, action and composition. Great stuff all around.
Phil Clark's has that great nostalgic look to it. The Rocketeer looks great and the pose of the characters looks very dynamic.
Kuje's pic is very moody. Good colors and a nice stance. I would have liked to see his version a bit more powerful looking but great job anyway!
Krosis's take was very different than I expected. It's very powerful in that it is different. The mood is great and the colors are awesome!
As for mine, I went for an effect and it didn't quite pan out. I felt that Hitler standing in the dark coming out of the shadows and startling The Rocketeer would be a very dynamic image. Alas most felt I need a background, which in retrospect I wish I had added one. But I and I'd imagine all the others had fun and that's what is important. I would love a rematch one of these days against these guys. Until then, Great job one and all!!! JV

Went with Krosis. Really gritty, but really really cool.
I'd also like to vote for the OLD poll style. But I may be alone on that one, I don't know, I'm too lazy to read EVERYTHING on the site.

I'm surprised.. (pleasantly so) that I did as well as I did..
when I posted my pic on Drawing Table it got some fairly negative reviews..
thanx Pope. ;)

I agree. I'm not a huge fan of the new images-in-poll thing.

It's a good thing I never declared I was in this. I would have been late as usual and been laughed at. Here's mine anyway. Krosis got my vote

Damn Justice, it is a good thing you didn't get in on this or I would have got beat even worse. But for real though, it's too bad you didn't, I always enjoy your work...and laughing at you. JV
