how are cuts achieved

I fell pretty foolish for asking this but hey look at my sig, anyhoo everytime i ask this im sent to comic colors and it really doesnt seem to help, can some one tell mne when to use them and wheres the best place to use them

This might help a bit. You may have to join the group in order to view the step by step process of using cuts, but if you're serious about coloring, then it's worth it.
