Design sketch - knife harness

Got an idea last night while putting away some throwing knives (hey, gotta have a hobby) and thinking about designs for this fantasy thing I'm playing with...

Whaddya think, use it or lose it? It's not really practical, but I like it, I think... the knives lining the spine is aesthetically pleasing to me. I like the half-hoodie/vest thing too, but that was already done in FFX so I get no points there.

who cares if its practical, looks mad cool. I like how it turned out with the belt and knives a different shade of grey than the body. Looks real nice.

Ahh, that was just 'cause I was having trouble reading my own sketchy lines... I went ahead and inked just the outlines of the harness to clarify. I shaded the harness furnther to differentiate it from the sketched-in guy, who really is just a placeholder character.

That's dope! You might want to have the sheaths cover a bit more of the knives. It looks like a few might fall out in heavy action. And I'd get rid of the string tie back - it looks a bit to "girdle-ish." Besides that, I love the design.

as far as the "girdle-ish " thing that Mase commented on, maybe you could cover it with more blades/sheaths. Or, possibly make it one solid piece since you have the adjustable buckles in the front. Just a thought.....

yeah man i think it's really spiff. Kinda reminds me of Danny Tejo's character on Desperado... and so i dig it even more.

I rather liked the strings... most harnesses like this are closely related to the girdle anyhow.

Danny Tejo's knife harness was actually much more utilitarian than this one, and held a LOT more knives.
