ball point pen sketch

this is a page out of my sketchbook. Did this at the hospital when I was waiting for my mother to get out of surgery.

Wow, I would not have guessed that was a ballpoint sketch. At least not from this scan...it looks more like an ink wash.

And that is one damned fine sketch. Jeez...nice lighting!

Thanks Shane. I might scan a larger version. The pen started running out of ink and I used it to my advantage in some spots. :) Kinda made it look washed.

Note to self: Hire a body guard to protect vs. Xadrian :P

wow am i wrong or is this done in some style similar to Albrecht Durer's ? ... very cool ...

would have also assumed this to be done in ink and not with ballpoint ...

i demand a larger scan too :p

Thanks guys. I try to do sketches like this as much as possible, but time hasn't permitted a whole lot of it unfortunately :(

Seems like all the drawing I do lately is project oriented. Which is fine too, but I love doing stuff like this from time to time.
