adding images

I am new to this and was wandering how to add a jpg image from my desktop to a post for a critique. any help would be appreciated.

PJ, he mentioned that they were on his desktop so first he would have to upload them to a web site like
www.comicsportfolio.com
and then use the URL to with IMG tag to made them visible in the forum, correct?

Yes, that's correct - I thought I had replied to this thread to clarify, but perhaps I either didn't and forgot or the reply was lost in the recent server migration.

You just have to have your image hosted on a Web server in order to link to it or display it inline in a thread. Unless you pay for their upgraded service, comicsportfolio.com won't allow you to remote link images. There are other free hosting options that do allow it, though, but I don't recommend any in particular.

actually the comicsportfolio.com version 2 which launched yesterday does allow remote linking.

Ah, I see. I think it'd be a good idea if you restricted promotion of your site to the Announcements area, though.
