Characters that need a major update

Who, in your mind, would benefit from a major overhaul?


I personally think that its time that Ghost Rider got some attention again.
This time round I'd like to see more time spent on exploring the human side of things -- rather than getting involved with demons and the devil etc.

Ghost Rider alwasy seems cooler when he's a 'guest' in someone elses comic -- and I think that because you don't have to read through pages of demon crap -- he just turns up of his flaming bike, kicks some ass, looks fantastic and then leaves.

So there you have it.
I want a book where Ghost Rider is cool.

Now please, would one of you comic investigator types please inform me that this book is just about to be released......

I want Loeb and Sale to do a 12 issue run on The Shadow.
Have Sale do his washes he does. The shadow hasn't been touched in years so it wouldn't really be an over haul just bringing him out and dusting him off.

all my favorites have been killed off ... colossus, illyana(magik), longshot, psylocke....damn .... but as far as a revamp, hmmmm.... i would love to do a colossus revamp, a solo series that focussed more on his artistic abilities , and his heroic capabilities...."made of steel... full of heart" ... not the stupid muscle man they make him in the comic ... although his last few appearances made him more repectable ... my fav was the xmen christmas issue where his departed sisters spirit visits him for the holiday ... marrow was behund it though i think , trying to keep him happy . and i would love to bring illyana back as well ... not the sword weilding demon she became , but more like a child pheonix .... ( not dark pheonix) and i would make her more involved with her brother , maybe living together ... colossus would go thru the years protecting her from the people who would use her power for evil.... so, what do ya think ?

I agree tho, if he weren't dead (how could they?!?) he could surely use a revamp.

Ghostrider was excellent when Tex was drawing it some years ago but after that I just lost interest in the title. He's one bad-arse character and they should revamp him too, I agree.

Thor - someone fire Jurgens and be rid of all this loooord of asgaaard crap.

In retrospect the only character that really DID NOT need a revamp was Spidey. Poor guy's been editorally butchered so many times I've lost interest in the titles.

Bring back Walt Simonson to Thor maybe. He was awesome on Thor. Fantastic Four too.

I saw Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider and Nick Fury all need a really great creative team to breathe new life into them. And for Ghost Rider, my first choice will always be Tony Moore.

One of my all time favorite mini-series was the old school Falcon.
I think that if you gave him an updated look, and maybe some shoulder guns and make him a MAX title.

Some other old titles that would be fun to see again would be Power Pack and The Dazzler. ;)

Yeah, they're two VERY cheesy titles and have a lot of potential for being revamped as more substantial pieces of work.

I remember that Falcon mini. Paul Smith did the first two issues, and then Mark Bright took over the last two. That was some good stuff.

I think Alpha Flight needs a real revamp, with a top-quality artist on board. That Steven Seagle/Scott Clark mess from a few years ago stunk real bad. Alpha Flight has NEVER been the same since Byrne left the book YEARS AND YEARS ago. The characters, I think, are really awesome. They need a major overhaul.

tony should definitely do ghost rider, but get this: IN BLACK AND WHITE...crazy i know, but i think it would work...seems GR would need a lot of really dark colours, and i wouldn't want tony's linework to be lost in all of that

I think they should bring back a revamped 2099 universe. They never truly finished that.

Cloak and Dagger. Those were two characters that really got f#cked over in the marvel universe.

all of those that cabrolsoth mentioned. I loved illyana, and colossus was my favorite character.

Also, i'de really like to see more ultimate gambit, either his own series, or in the x-men. I loved that little mini-series type story he got in the ultimates.
