Nah, it's from that movie "The Big Hit" that came out a few years ago with Mark Wahlberg and Lou Diamond Phillips. There was some sub-plot of a Hong-Kong movie that was being made called "Taste The Golden Spray" and the guy that was making it was this middle aged Chinese dude. Anyway, he built only one theater standee and it was made out of gold, hence, ruining his budget for the film.

Anyway, it's just a funny phrase. Maybe we should use it as the basis for this tournament?

Suggestion for Draw-Off Subject Matter::

IHMC members draw themselves thugged out (baggy clothes, excessive jewelry, 9mm's)

FOTP members draw themselves in Tolkien-ish fantasy garb (tunics, boots, swords and what-not)

**we should go all out, too- Inks, colors...the works!

Uhm, my thoughts on the matter:

-no fighting.. too hard to coordinate. Just IHMc in baggy outfit VS Fellowshippers in LOTR outfit.

-someone decide a due date NOW

-When it comes to rules, I suggest we let the 'pairs' decide. If both are down with colors and the whole nine yards, good. If they want to do but pencils, fine as well. as long that there's agreement.

-Who's gonna draw the names from the hat? (I'd prefer someone neutral... like me.)

For IHMC info, go to their website (in all of their signatures). Devilman is the founder and leader.

The Fellowship Of The Pencils hasn't got any real leaders -although some consider Paulfresh to be , that's what he thinks himself, anyway :p . Motives differ from person to person to be part of it, but for me it's about getting to know like-minded artists even better , helping each other out (e.g. when someone has but 1 reply or something, you give a comment), y'know.. positive stuff.

It's not some seperatist movement, I'm still primarily a member of Penciljack, it's just .. additional.

Ok, the subject of this is pretty much decided. Draw your self only. Now, we just need even teams so we can throw all the names in a hat, and we can let ra havok do that. So, hurry up and join in people so we can set the date.

The pics we were doing for the IHMC website are a far cry from this- they were just general pictures of us.

The draw-off pics require us to be big-pimpin' thug attired. (like something out of an old Mace+Puffy video) I don't think any of us have one of those on hand already.

how bout this, when all the people are invovled, then we can randomly match up people with the opposing team members, and then randomly pic a topic for these matchups to draw....

maybe like a madlib drawoff.

What I mean is. we'll all throw in words at random,people, places, SUPERHEROes etc, etc. anyone can give a word.

Those words will be placed in a madlib created by... RA or whom ever wants to do it.

there probably should be as many madlibs as there are matchups.

We'll all get the madlibs and do a sequential or just a one piece on it or whatever you guys want to.

That's one idea that I've got...

That's kind of a conditio sine qua non...

-Second of all: This thing will go straight to the gutter if we draw 'madlib'. Nobody's gonna want to draw something he/she doesnt WANT to draw..

-third of all: About the 'general vote'. I suggest we PAIR IHMC/fellowship members against each other, make a thread in the arena with these two contestants, and count what group won the most draw-offs. that's the most simple and effective IMO.
So, suppose we've got 18 contestants, that would make 9 pairs , 9 arena threads, 9 winners. The team with most winners , is the winner of this draw-off.

I would just like to point out that the whole thug idea was a suggestion from a member of the IHMC. You guys can decide on whatever you want with that. But I think the rest of the rules that have been made sound pretty solid. Let's not make this TOO complicated. We can always do another one down the road.
