Something I never thought would happen has finally come to pass.
My wife, who never had an interest in video games at all, took an interest in Gameboy Advance, so I bought her one for Christmas. She was happy and all was fine.
She bought me Animal Crossing, and two other GCN games, for Christmas. I was happy and all was fine.
Then I played the game in front of her. HUGE MISTAKE.
I haven't been able to play my Gamecube in two days. She's hooked on Animal Crossing. It's like crack, people. She won't turn it off. Every free moment she has, she wants to play it. That's why I've been here at PJ for most of the day. I have Metroid Prime, too, and I haven't been able to play that either.
She can't play it forever. Can she?

My best friend's mother HATED his Playstation... it was a "waste of time", a "waste of money", and the source of all his problems.
"You'd be able to find a job if you weren't on that damn Playstation all the time!"
"Clean the damn kitchen instead of playing that stupid computer game!"
"You could afford a car if you didn't waste all your money on those damn video games!"
And so on...
And then he got Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.
And he got her to play it.
And then Bust A Move (aka Bubble Bobble).
And within two weeks, she had disconnected his PSX, took it off the big-screen in the living room, bought her own PSX, kicked him to the little 13-inch in his bedroom, and she would NOT let him get on the living room system. Because it was hers....
Now his mom has an X-Box (for the kids, of course). They play team Halo when he visits her in Louisiana, or when she visits him here. It's very sweet.
She's a viscious shot, too.
