sorry guys.. i really thought long and hard about this at work.. and I am pissed. I cram in whatever few hours I have to actually have a complete work.. where I didnt have time to look back and see and reflect on my work to fix some glitches(like chun li's foreshortening of the legs.) and I end up losing to a nicely rendered but nonetheless incomplete drawing.. Had I known this would just be a tonal study I would have just not have completed mine as well and just bust out my conte..

sorry damnation.. and sway... but I don't really have any hard feelings to the two of you.. My being just can't take this.. not even in college where someone hands in an incomplete assignment gets better marks than a complete one.. I guess the majority of people of here don't really like the way I draw..

so I am bowing out of drawoffs...

first it was the not drawing an ass for blink now its not making this to a tonal study... and losing to an incomplete work..

I am not saying u are not a good artist sway... but I can't force the majority to see it my way.. so majority wins.. I don't draw ...

whenever I post some art thing here it gets like barely a 3 count.. anyway..

penciljack is sorta depressing me now.. so I'll step back again..
right now I don't think penciljack is beneficial to my drawing..

call me a spoil sport if you want.. but I got to stay positive.. drawing here doesn't right now..

and maybe come back when I finished my sequentials.. thats if penciljack still considers me a member after this..

i would really hate to see how you would react if you had an editor professionally critique your stuff if you can't handle the defeat of a draw-off here...

these are guys that DON'T WANT to hire you. as soon as you plop your portfolio in front of them, they get ready for the worst, because they have shitloads of people showing them shitloads of crap-ass art. So they aren't always nice about telling you what you need to work on.

keep drawing, and practice your heart out... just don't expect to be coddled...

For once, red7ine is right.

You're being very weak.

Sometimes people like my stuff - other times they hate it.

I don't let it bother me too much though.

You CAN'T let it bother you too much - because you'll never make it.

There are more important things in life.

ENJOY your art.
Do it for yourself - instead of for others.

Heya South!

I know the feeling of losing Draw-offs (entered 8 or so, go trashed ugly mostly).
Makes you doubt about your capabilities, but know this:

"Chances are, you'll never stop improving."

So, keep practicing and don't let these (mental) set-backs drag you down.

And I'll be the first one to check out the seqs you'll post here.

Yo southpaw, I can completely understand why you're pissed off, but to just quit drawoffs entirely shouldn't be your conclusion. I've NEVER won a drawoff before. I don't expect to in the future either. I know my limitations. You shouldn't let drawoffs let you down. It's all in good fun, man. Shrug all that stuff off like dust on your shoulder.
