It's not HUGE news but it is interesting. Especially the last bit about how Liefeld allegedly solicits new comics:

Man, this story is really spreading, isn't it?
I saw all of these comments originally posted on the Savage Forum, and Rich "I don't know an actual fact from my asscrack" Johnston took a bunch of quotes out of context and stuck them in his Lying in the Gutters column at CBR (two out of four words of that title being very telling of its content), and now it looks like it's getting around other places as well.
Since the column was posted at CBR, a new thread has started at savagedragon.com, featuring Erik's take on the matter:
So--would putting some legal horseshit on this page keep me from being quoted by this asshole? I'm not at all pleased to see things pulled from this forum and used on slow news days by some lazy **** who feels like taking the easy way out and quoting me.
Christ what a load of crap.

And also, for clarification:
The problem I have with it--is that it's taken out of context--and as an item taken out of context it makes it sound as though I'm attacking them--and I'm not. I was answering questions not bringing up the subject. There's a world of difference there-- if nobody had brought up those two, I wouldn't have said a word but I've tried my best to keep my posts here open and honest. I generally answer questions posted to me. Your quoting out of context makes it appear otherwise-- I come off sounding petty and bitter--even angry--and that's NOT the case. I'm anything but bitter! In the future, I'd really appreciate it if you'd try to put things in context--it's pretty easy to pull things out of place and give people a bad impression-- I'd rather you not do that with me. Feel free to quote me calling you an asshole if you'd like. I have no problem going on the record with that.

Ah, well. If this yellow journalism means more copies of Savage Dragon get sold. . . can't complain, I guess.

Ah, thank you so much Benito. I feel horrible for posting that now. You really CAN'T believe everything you read.
