According to ComicsContinuum (http://comicscontinuum.com) , the first issue of the Jim Lee/Jeph Loeb BATMAN storyline Hush... SOLD OUT.
This is big news! Comics selling out has been a big thing lately, from the first issues of each new writer's storyline in Green Arrow to Fantastic Four's new direction to various others-- comics selling out is becoming a definite trend.
Is this affecting you? Personally, it's got me-- I haven't been able to locate some of my favorite series EVEN THE DAY OF RELEASE, in many cases. Something to think about?

I'm just glad I put it on my pull list. I would have died if I missed this.
But yeah, it is affecting me. I missed the first issue of Y: The Last Man, and have been going through alot of trouble to get my hands on a copy. I have to add alot of books to my pull list months ahead, just to make sure they don't sell out.
Ah, well. . .

There were about twenty or so copies at my shop this afternoon.
I didn't get one.
But there were plenty.

I think it depends on where you live. I live in Santa Rosa and there were plenty in the store I went to, and I was there at 3pm.
To be honest though, I went to the comic book store for the first time in eight months specifically to pick up Jim Lee's Batman.

I wasn't necessarily talking about IN-STORE selling out, though that's bound to happen in most of your cases, as well-- I was talking about how all the copies DC had for sale were SOLD OUT-- meaning to get more of them out there would mean a reprint... This HAS happened before in the immediate past. I believe Kevin Smith's Green Arrow went to reprint.

I didn't think I would like it but after reading it I remembered that i really dig Loeb writting bat's
And Jim Lees batman...
I'm not a fan of lee's. Never have been. His killer crock looks just like all his monsters from his Wild Cats years.
But his batman...
Hard.
I love his bats.
I here ya! I can't find a copy of that Manga Spidey by Scottie ANYWHERE!
But i did pick up bats yesterday.
I like the title of this thread: Jim Lee Batman-- SOLD OUT!
Because Jim Lee did sell out to DC. It's funny. It's funny and true!

Totally. Why does everyone feel they have to redesign classic characters? It really starts to piss me off after a while. Croc was visually cool before... now he's pretty much unrecognizable. Well, I'm sure it won't last longer than a couple of years, if that.
He's got a tail. It's like someone melted The Lizard.

Maybe Jim can't draw Croc, why not redesign? ;)
