I've got basic character design, but maybe you'll effect that, too?

Heroes In Birmingham (http://www.bestfriendsproductions.com/hibintro.htm)

Is looking to get better known by web-publishing more pages and stories from existing issue scripts.

Right now there are 8 issues scripted for a story-arc of 12, a special introduction issue that combines elements of two stories, and an animation pilot.

So will Roof Girl end up looking more like this?

or more like this?

Looking for illustrators who want to prove they can do complex paneling (an average of 5 to 7 panels per page). Use scanning and reducing or layout drawing.

Here are two example pages drawn by Scott Neely:

Heroes In Birmingham Introduction Pages (http://www.bestfriendsproductions.com/heroesps.htm)

Say, are you one of the above illustrators and want to do more? Haven't heard from any of you in ages. Please contact.

Pages will either be published on Best Friends Productions website, your on-line portfollio or other on-line comics places and promoted.

Are you a publisher? Please feel free to contact.

Dear Prospective Artists:

In regards to my above post, there can be more than one illustrator. If you are willing to try pencils for at least 5 pages, I'll post it and after editing in the dialog and copyright notices, and will be happy to have you post it on other sites that promote you and your work.

You don't have to be able to ink or letter your own work, but you do need to leave room for word balloons where needed and write a note to me saying you will allow your work to be displayed with someone else's inks.

Inkers and digital colorists, when I have some work, you can be included, too.

If you can scan, you may be my man (or wo-man).

... beyond what is currently posted. In addition to some design sketches at are already scanned, there are words to describe characters and places.

Since I'm currently in broke ville, I will allow illustrators to pick what section of the story they'd like to work on.

For example, if you want to try to illustration sequential issue #1 from page one, make a reservation.

If you'd rather draw an animatic of the animation pilot (or a scene from animation pilot), you can reserve that as well.

I'm also open to character's looks and costumes being redesigned a bit, as long as they still fit in the story.

In addition to purpetual credit, if you end up drawing at least 1/2 of an issue, I'll try to make sure it gets published in print with your artwork (and that you'd get conmpensated at that time.)

Course, I could always sell my screenplay first....

and what they are looking for in NEW animation projects makes things look very good for Heroes In Birmingham.

If you're more of an animation artist, consider this. After the proposal is accepted a 7 minute animation pilot is commissioned. Artist I work with could help me determined which 7 minutes of the 'half-hour' animation pilot might work best... resdesign some of the character costumes, define the style. Perhaps even do an first stage animatic for the entire pilot (7 minute or hour hour version) which we could video tape as part of the presentation.

So, come on. Visit my pages. I even have back and side views of some of the main characters in the intial designs.

I'm just as happy to see Heroes In Birmingham to be an animation series before it is a comic.

And for you comics illustrators: you could help define the story even better if the comic exists in art first!

Win-win situations, in my opinion.

I'm still looking for illlustrators who might want to draw 5 or more pages from an issue of "Heroes In Birmingham"

I've had a "bite" on the animation side, and this prompted me to create 10.5" x 8" jpg "boards" of existing artwork and notes for three of the main characters. There are actually 4 boards, because of the the characters has a pretty detailed origin story that includes more youthful and different costumed adventures.

Yes, it is a team book, but if you're not interested in a full team up with me (to make a presentation to another person to publish), we can still do web publishing of pages that concentrate on just a few of the characters.

Please inquire for further information, or watch this space for updates.
