Is that John Cassaday's art? Nice piece.

[edit] Oops. Didn't see the link somehow. Very cool... like that interpretation of Abe Sapien... one of the visually coolest characters in comics, IMO.

that picture is pretty badass...but i really don't like how HB looks from the waist down....

Yeah, the foot is pretty weak.

I think the hellboy looks pretty weak, period.

Did I tell you guys, that aside from telling god to make women, i also had him make Kevin Nowlan. That's right. He thought a kevin Nowlan would be too much for you, that you wouldn't be ready. I told HIM to have a little more faith. ;)

i don't like how close his horn stubs are either. hrrrm. i think i'm partially in agreement with nate. i think it's just hard, because his look is totally derivative from his owner. mignola's specific artistic approach to the character is what made him, and after as many HB comics there are out there, i've grown accustomed.

in my eyes, mignola can do no wrong.

and when the assignment is to not be a mignola clone, and do your own personal hellboy...chances are i'm not gonna be able to appreciate it fully.

y'know, i'm looking at the picture again, and it looks like HB's abs don't line up with his pecs either. and his right hand of doom is looking kinda shotty now on second look....hrrrmm....

I enjoy Matt Roberts' rendition of Hellboy. Maybe in a few weeks, you can too.
