I went to a baby appointment yesterday and got to hear my kid's heartbeat for the first time. It sounded so little... and jeez, was it fast! I have to go in for a sonagram on nov. 7th. I dunno why i'm posting this... just wanted to spread some joy I guess. :D

remember the first ultrasound my wife and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat... truly mindbending. I think that's when the little lightbulb went off in my noggin that there is ACTUALLY something living in there.

in case you missed it, here's her first pic (besides the one the hospital took)

i need to update my site and get some newer pictures up. She will be 5 months old on the 20th of this month, at ther last Doc appointment she weighed 18 lbs and 22 inches long.

Vaught- thats an adorable pic. I wish my hubby was here to hear it like you were with your wife. *sigh* I promise to keep ya updated.

Ra- Oh, you'll see lots of pics once I get my damned scanner working.

Congrats!

Someday I want to have one of those things too! ;) That way I have an excuse for buying all the toys...oh, the toys!!!

Thats awsome Jenn!
I too remember hearing my kids ("the cook e. crumbs") heartbeats for the first time... truely an awsome experience!

thats funny, i was in the comic shop and the lady working there was talking about her soon to be baby and how they had heard that when a babies heart beats over like 150 or something ( i cant remember exactly) lets just say fast its gonna be a girl and if its slower its gonna be a boy
She and her husband asked the doctor about it and said that wasnt necessarily true

Thank you guys. :) I don't know what I'm having yet. I'm damned sure its a boy though... I just know it is. I'm already into my second trimester and I'm not supposed to be throwing up everyday still and yet... I AM! So doc says that his wife (and among my ma, my ma in law and a few other women friends) say that its a boy. Only boys make me this sick. ;)
I've already started buying the toys. Baby toys are damned entertaining!

thats cool! Make sure you keep him away from all those sharp pencils.
