Basically at crucial "jumping on" points for comics, Marvel will drop their prices to TWENTY FIVE CENTS. They're doing their point, now it's up to us as fans to recommend good comics to friends that aren't reading comics.

Im more likely to buy a shitty 25 cent comic as opposed to a shitty $3.00 one

i agree, but the marvel ones will probably (i said probably, not that they would be) be better written.

It's very cool and the key thing to keep in mind is that it's up to the fans to help make the price drop work. If you pick up 3 or 4 copies and give 'em out to friends, maybe that's where you find a potential new reader.

Make sure people know that you don't have to be a collector and buy tons of books or take care of 'em if they don't want to. Just show them that there are some great stories out there. The more units sold, the better things are for all of comics.

I hope they advertise it... otherwise, they are just offering it to existing customers. Then what's the point?

Now the problem: inexpensive public exposure

I just picked up the 9 cent FF, the 13 cent Gen 13, and the JLA book the other day. I bought 10 copies of each, and just started handing them out in the plaza where I work.

Maybe some will end up in the garbage, but I think it's important that I try to get books into the hands of people, who otherwise wouldn't pick them up.

I haven't read any of those issues yet though, so I hope I'm not handing out total crap.

If you guys have a few bucks to spare, I hope you might do the same thing as well.

Well, I can't say I'll go so far as to buy a bunch and give 'em away, but you rock for doing so...

I would, however, buy an incredibly cheap book, regardless of whther or not I usually read it... if for no other reason than I have something else to read while taking a toilet break...

:D

I just wish I had more to give away. I have a lot of crappy comics I could give away, but then, that'd be kind of detrimental to the cause.
