DOG WELDER!

The original Dogwelder was created by Garth Ennis and John McCrea.
They were trying to come up with the worst possible superhero.
Dogwelder was the result.
He fights crime by welding puppies to criminals faces.

An inspired piece of creation indeed, but has anything more gross come along since the days of Dogwelder?

well, the BEST comic character, (besides Devilman), is also a Go Nagai creation who goes by the name of Kekko Kamen!

She's a girl who wears a mask......... nothing else, just a mask. She carries a pair of nunchucks around to hit opponents with, but her super attack is her jumping on the enemies shoulders and putting her cootch in their faces. REgardless of sex, the victim is seduced by the beauty and/or aroma of the attack and falls unconcious in a state of bliss.

I remembered the character because he was featured in a copy of Wizard once.

I think he appeared in the Hitman comics?

Anywa, here's just about the only page I could find that referred to him and had a picture..........

THIS PAGE HERE!! (http://www.ga2so.com/dog/)

Theres also a very cool image of his featured as part of a group shot on the cover of Hitman #18 - but I couldn't find a big enough scan to show you......

man, that is such a brilliant idea for a comic character.

Big Floppy Package Man is along these lines....heh.

I'm a big fan of chynco's captain dependable (http://chynco.tripod.com). Then again, captain dependable is supposed to be dumb...

But I dunno... weilding a dog to your face could be an incredibly negative experience. Anyone here ever seen JoJo's Bizarre Adventures? There's a little pug dog on there who's special attack is to fart in your face...

Dog Welder was a member of Section Eight, a group of lame superheros in Hitman. They were lead by Sixpack (who's power was getting drunk and hallucinating that he was beating up Darkseid and the like) and included Jean-de-Baton (who has a stick) The Defenstrator (who tosses people out windows, he carries one with him just in case) Flegm Gem (he spits obscene amounts of snot on people) Friendly Fire (who actually has a superpower, he can shoot destructive blasts from his hands. He just NEVER hits what he's aiming at. Ends up blowing his own head off) Shakes (who shakes, a lot, and rapidly) and Bueno Excellente (his power is sodomy...really).

Garth Ennis is a genious.

he sure is, but dogwelder was actually steve dillon's idea

i believe the story goes something along the lines of the group of them just out for some drinks, and the topic of "worst superhero name" came up...dillon proposed "dogwelder" and garth just had to throw him into hitman :)
