I need help about copyrights!

Guys I need some help about copyrights. Can anyone that posts a comment in a place like Pencil Jack or a yahoo group sue for copyrighting?

I imagine it's quit possible, especially if you quote someone who doesn't want to be quoted, and is inflamatory. It could get you in trouble. But i don't know for sure.

i'm not sure, where it is a public forum... check the terms of service agreement and see what rights you have

i don't think that words are copyright-able. now words in a phrase that describe a product are. but from the reading ive done. i don't think its possible to do that with anything like a post. and if it is something that is copyrighted i think it will show it with the little c. now if your quoting someone on something and make that into something else, like slander, i think there is a possibility for a suit.

I don't think so. This is a public forum, and things said here and quoted elsewhere are akin to you being in a crowd of people, talking about something, and someone a few days later says exactly the same thing in a different crowd. It may be annoying, but you can't sue them for it.

But then again, there was a woman who sued a department store when she tripped over a child and got hurt. And it was her child. So I guess anything is possible, with the right judge and jury.

Is it just me or does trouble follow you wherever you go? Now you are asking about copyright laws. Take it easy. Life's too short to fret over the small stuff.
