I hope this thread is in the right place, I've been gone for a while...
ahem.
XTRVGNZ, taking a page from Saddam Hussein's New York Times best seller, "America: Kick My Ass Please", has challenged me, Doktor Destrukto, to a bitter, no holds barred, biting optional, arena face-off.* Silly rabbit.
So it's on. The Dutch Doodler versus the God-blessed American Graphic Guru, mano a mano, in the Penciljack Arena. Better get a new server on backup, cuz the jpg's are gonna fly.
Here's the contest, due Wednesday, 10/16. Pencils/inks/paints, anything black and white. I'm probably doing pencils, but XTRVGNZ will need all the help he can get. No more cute robot Energizer mascots, you peacenik!
The subject is as follows:
In the post-apocalyptical down under, where mankind has disappeared, and a new breed of mutant creatures lives in a technological dark age, rife with mysticism and occult practices, a creature prowls the land. One part aussie animal, one part cyborg (bio or mech, you choose), three parts halitosis, this pre-apocalypse military experiment gone wrong prowls the wasteland on his _______ (vehicle or mount of your choice), searching for salvage and a suitable mate.
Hopefully, this is off the wall enough for you to have fun with Pep. The drawing should include the creature and vehicle. Background is unnecessary. Points for technical execution, imagination, and general punk-out wackiness.
The loser gets strapped to a bomb and dropped into Iraq, in another controversial attempt to defend US oil interests in a land we are too lazy to figure out.
