Blade, aside from the can of whoopa$$, the movie that got me hooked was blade. i always believed that the idea of putting a superhero type character on paper, or silver screen, was to convince the audience this station of make believe, could be real.
blade did a better convicing job than the other two.

peace out

Well, considering that I never read the Blade comic but I did read the other two (and we all know how us fanboys are critical of the story adaptations in a movie) I liked both Blade movies much better. I just thought they did a great job explaining what makes vampires tick (the Blade DVD even has the history behind all the vampire families) and the action sequences were a hell of a lot better.

your friendly neighborhood spiderman has the whole of New York behind him.

"you mess with one of us, you messin with ALL of us". That's a pretty big city, you know.

Blade was NOT really that great of a movie, and the second one was just SO damn silly, and I want to kill myself for buying the DVD. The effects went from really slick looking to a "Stop Motion with Barbies" look.

Sure, I enjoyed the first Blade alright, but while watching it, I was thinking "Gee, I am so embarassed for having a good time, this is really bad". I am a geek, and that wins out over logic most of the time.

Spiderman was FAR superior, with Xmen as a distant second.

As far as I'm concerned, Spider-man is the best comic film out of all three. Both Blades are very good, but hardly escapist films. I mean, I got giddy like a little bitch watching Spider-Man. Those shots of him swinging through the city gave me chills all up and down my spine.

X-Men, while very good too, could have been so much better. I think the sequel will be a lot better, as far as displaying powers. And that's really what these films come down to: how well do the filmmakers transfer what's on the comic page to the big screen. For my money, Spider-Man did the best of all three.

Plus, I don't know that many people that went to go see "Blade" or "X-Men" dressed up as their favorite character from that movie.

I remember when i DID go see Blade, there was this guy who was dating one of my female friends who came dressed as a vampire. Me and my homeboy were like, "You DO know that Blade is a vampire KILLER, right?" But, he was a little wacked out, so i don't think that should count.

As for spiderman, I saw grown ups, kids and animals, (aka teenagers), dressed up as our favorite webslinger.

Don't act like you didn't giggle like a silly farm bitch when MJ Watson called Peter, "Tiger". You know you did, the whole theatre was whooping and hollering like he had just scored or something for a little word. That's real impact. THAT is Spiderman.

i wasnt comparing the actual movies. more so the actual characters in the film. like for example movie xmen, storm is so slow and lame so is jean gray.. and logan seemed like just a normal person.. with claws that sniffs things and can heal fast.

while spiderman actually looked fast and was strong.

and movie blade actually kicked ass and could do so many things bad ass.

If you are counting powers displayed in the movie, its still spidey, he was far faster than blade (watch the scene where he first develops spider sense...) and far stronger (i.e. holding up a cable car with one hand while hanging from a webline.) I will give Blade the cool toy edge and training and ruthlessness, but that only makes up for so much. He almost got his ass beat down by Nomak, as well as that silly girl nobility vamp.

I was thinking the same thing.

X-men kinda had the worse fight scenes out of the three. Blade 2 made Blade look a hell of a lot tougher even though I didn't like it as much as the first one.
