HAs anyone seen some of the footage of this game in motion? I'm too lazy to download any of the vids.. Haven't even seen screenshots.

I did happen to stumble over Playmore/Eolithic's official KOF2K2 site and noticed the character art. Their new KOF artist is good, but he doesn't seem to pack in the coolness and character depth that the old one (now with Capcom) did. http://www.snkneogeo.co.jp/official/kof2002/kof2002_top.html

I honestly like the new artist better. But i didn't really care for the old artist much... at all. I think this artist's style of coloring is really unique, too. Uber realistic skintones, but cellshaded clothing. wierd.

i wish they would do a graphics update on the characters:(

I wish capcom was charge of producing the KOF series now. KOF characters are sooo much cooler than SF but the animation and game control is so crappy

When is this game is coming out,and what system is it coming out for?All I know is that they're doing a 3D version of KOF for the PS2,but since I do love all of the SNK fighting games,I wann know is it coming on to the PS2?
Also:Do you guys know that you can score a Neogeo for as little as $25-3- bucks now?Just a measly $25-30 bucks?!!:eek: .....:p

thats something i think Im going to look into
there were always badass games on NeoGeo you couldnt play anywhere else

oh, sorry, just go to the "console" link on the left hand side, and then go to NEOGEO.

there's plenty to choose from, and all the killer games should be on that main page.

Yeah same here. Shinkiro I think his name was. Every now and again he would come up with something that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside but most of his stuff was dull and mundane. Also he suffered from "face swapping syndrome" a debilitating illness that has plagued Jim Lee for years.

Yes. Emulate if you're gonna try to spend as little money as possible (and not have lag and expensive-ass game cartridges), but if you really want to play it on your TV and brag that you own the console, by all means, buy one.

The KOF2k2 game is coming out in arcades (I think) first, then NEO-GEO cartridge (for a measly 19,800 Yen- that's around $200 for you and me, and don't forget to add in import fees if you go through a local distributor) and then PS2.
