Alias
I have to admit that I was skeptical when I decided to watch the Alias pilot last year. It was competing with X-Files, and even though I felt like X-files had betrayed its fan base the last few years (by sucking) I wasn’t sure Alias could take its place.
Holy crap was I wrong. Last season was amazing, and this season is right on track. Last Sunday paid off in a big way, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
The genius of the show is the combination of action and drama. One second Syd is kicking the rap out of some Russian assassin, the next she’s eating ice cream with a girlfriend and crying about how guys are mean.
I know that J.J. Abrams might be messing with a cherished American icon like Superman (Jimmy Olson gay?) but I have to admit that he’s created one of the best shows on the boob tube in years.
