Just read the new Captain Marvel comic.
Its not often I get to say this anymore --- but this is an excellent comic!
In addition to the beautiful artwork, the general storytelling is fantastic.
Centering on the responsibilty felt by someone with the power cosmic as their guide - this issue just totally blew me away!
It helped me to connect with the character on a completely new level.
The last Captain Marvel run was a bit poo - in my opinion. But if the new series continues at the standard of issue 1, its going to be my number one purchase.
Views?

I agree.
I read it at marvel.com this week and was surprised. It looks like Peter David is up to his old tricks again (thank heavens).
It’s nice that someone is really delving into the ramifications and consequences that super powers produce.
What do you do when you have a decision to make, what if you choose wrong, and how do you determine what is wrong? Are 1000 lives more important then 1?

Well, I enjoyed the previous Captain Marvel series.
But this blows it out of the water. It's absolutely superb work from both David and Chris Cross.

I read it at Marvel.com too, and it was great! It's sad that it was put up against those other 2 books! Especially Marville;)

Missed issue 1, now it's sold out at my store.
I guess I'll have to wait for the reorders.

Grr. I always find out that Marvel.com has em for free the day after I buy them at the shop. Anyhoo, I just read it today... it was pretty good, but kind of disappointing to me. I realize it's setting up a new stage for CM with the whole madness angle, but to be honest, the ending didn't make me want to see what happened next, which of course is the whole point. I don't think I'll be picking up the second issue, but I'll give it a read if it's on dotcomics.
