I find it amazing how 2 people, working on the same character, can come up with 2 completely different pieces. This is not a criticism, this is actually well masked praise. I had to go with Popninja's piece on this as it fit the character of Deathstrike perfectly. Good job both of you.

both works are really enjoyable but i had to go with poninjas.
Blackhand i would love to see yours done in something like watercolors. it would be really sharp!

Popninja's without a doubt, holy cow man!!!! I was really taken back by this piece, the attention to detail and effort put in to your works really speaks volumes.

I like where Blackhand was going with the nouveau aspects of his piece, but Popninja nailed the character's personality with that pose (and that face!). I should add that the claws in both pics are very palpable, but I've always had a problem with that Silvestri style techno garbage on her arms, so I gotta hand it to Blackhand for the innovation.

I went with Popninja on overall quality on this one.

Well, I'm glad I got to have an opponent.

I'll say one thing for blackhand's drawing, it's a VERY different take on the character. I did about six thumbs before starting my drawing and every single one had Yuriko with her claws out, ready to enviscerate.

Yuriko in repose. Interesting, indeed. Good job, Blackhand.

Well, I don't know what the sod I was thinking with a sort of 'high concept' Deathstrike picture. Maybe I wanted to lose, because there's just no competing with a classical Silvestri-style Deathstrike. Great job, Popninja.

I went with Popninja's also. Blackahnd was good but the rays coming off the sun in the background were so off that it really affected the way i looked at the pic. I really did dig the want Blackhand did her hands though.

I like both... Popninja's have one weird leg one that.. but well, I can't make it better..hehe
I go with Popninja's because it looks more evil and stuff...
