my friends went nuts over the movie and swore that I MUST see it, (it's a toughguy thing, i guess). I really tried hard, but it was only in select theatres and it's hard to get to those with no ride :(

Brotherhood of the Wolf is....very different, to say the least. It begins very very well and then it kinda turns into a b b-movie.
I liked it as much as I was confounded with it.
It's definitely worth seeing - if you like

sword fighting
indians
mythos
horror
victorian costume movies
French odd movies
and sci-tech

what set the movie apart is the epileptic shots of the innocent girls being attacked by the 'wolf'. The photography is EXCELLENT, the cuts are good too but the stressy attack/stalk scenes can be a bit too much at times.

The sound is well-done too... it's an excellent action/horror/suspense film, even if it does get a bit screwy at the end... Ivy, eat your heart out!

That 'pivotal' scene involving mani was such a shocker... the 'gasps' that were flying in the theatre woooo

I know a lot of people love this thing but i thought it was pretty average.

1.)i could care less about any of the characters
2.)The movie dragged in some parts, it was about a half hour too long
3.)Action scenes aren't even that good, the director gets in too close a lot so you can't see what's going on
4.)The CGI "beast" looked shitty at times.

For the most part This is a beautifully shot movie, though .

.......its starts off really good in the begining, but once you see the monster and the main villain, which finally reveal themselves, it turns into a ridiculous b-movie. I think the director decided to make one type of movie in the begining and then changed his mind halfway through production. If anything its a rental but definetly not worth the price of admission at a theater.

That man,Mark dacascos is the sweetest martial artist I've seen so far.I had a friend who worked for Alpha Stunts(www.alpha-stunts.com),and told me about him.I didn't see the movie yet,but I wanna own it on DVD soon.I've heard that it was beautiful.:D ..........:p

I really liked it.

Could have cut out about 40 minutes of it though.:rolleyes:

If you like Dascascos, he's good in CHINA STRIKE FORCE. But he is a bad guy.
