The goal of this was supposed to be drawing Merlin??

I didn't really care for either Merlin, but I loved Cook e's dragon!

This is tough, but only because neither of these drawings met my expectations for a final round match-up.

Since I feel compelled to vote, I will have to go with cook's. I see a lot of problems with that dragon, not to mention the positioning of Merlin and how he isn't even looking at the dragon. But since it looks like some work went into it, I'll throw my vote his way.

Just being honest. I'd have to say that maybe the subject matter here wasn't very stimulating.

I disagree, I think Merlin and Dragon sounds like a pretty cool idea for a draw-off...maybe they didn't like it but I have a feeling they had a difficult time finding an interesting composition for this draw-off as that is a lot of information to have readable to the viewer...

I think you guys did a great job... red's merlin is bit more interesting as he has an interesting atmosphere about him...

Cookies has a better over composition and a great sense of scale...

Your pic is pretty damn sweet also! It's quite dynamic..something I couldn't seem to put down in mine. :(
I gotta say, when this assignment was first posted, I was fairly excited to do it...but then these past couple'a weeks turned out pretty rough, and Jokoso pretty much nailed it, as far as I go, because I couldn't for the life of me find the right compostition... so I apologize to you folks and especially Red7ine for putting out such a crappy "tournament final" piece.

anyways, they were both great efforts but I went with the monstas. It makes me feel better that the guy who took me out won the tourney.

I FREAKIN hated this assignment. I hated Dungeons & Dragons as a kid, and I really disklike the genre. I hate this piece that I did, and quite frankly, I figure anyone who voted for mine did so just because they were too lazy to click cook's link.

Cook did an exceptional job here, as usual.

We'll see how it is at the end of the week... maybe I can create enough accounts to vote for me and narrow the margin (i kid! I kid !!)

Your drawings are ultra-dynamic, and this 'crappy' piece isn't half as crappy as you think it is.

do I smell funny or something? was everyone that disappointed in the entries? I mean, hell, I'm more than willing to concede defeat to Cook, but I don't think the voting numbers are anywhere near what they were with the earlier tourney matches.

I agree with you Red, the voting numbers are pretty low compared to all the other matches...not quite the finally that was expected I guess, sorry folks...either that or everyone was really busy these past couple'a days, I know I was. But I gotta admit, this was one hell of a ride!

I have a theory on why the votes are lower than in the other rounds. Perhaps the people that were in the tourney stopped voting when they were eliminated?

I dunno. I still think that over 50 votes in a week is a pretty good number, but I also thought there would be a higher voting turn out.

Of course, it could just be Red's B.O. :D

And as far as me going against the winner of Beastie's tourny, well, I think that's how it was set up to be... the winner of this one goes against the winner of that one. But I'm not sure. It'll be fun if that's the case!

Well, as far as this Tourney went... it had tons of talent and loads of fun, great job all! And maaad props go to Ronin for runnin the show, and HMG for the tourney ladder...Thanks fellas!
