In an upcoming issue of X-Men Unlimited (I know!), number 39 to be exact, there will be three stories that'll feature the Queen of the weather, Storm. And this stuff looks incredible. Not only is there a cover by Chris Bachalo (doing one of his best pieces of art that I've seen from him in a while), not only a story of Storm VS. Magneto drawn (and written) by Jason Pearson. Not just another story by J. Torres and Keron Grant of Storm meeting up with a certain Japanese, former X-Men.
But, a story by Chris Claremont AND DRAWN BY PAUL "FRIGGIN" SMITH!!! Their story is going to tell what happened way back, when Storm decided to go "punk rock" all those many years ago!!
Pretty cool images in the article. *No Paul Smith art though...*
Check it out. This deserves the title of Bad Ass Mo-Fo!!

Paul Smith is one of the coolest guys I've ever met, and one hell of a draftsman! I haven't seen him in at least 3 or 4 years, but he's the most gracious host, EVER!!!
I mean, I'm half passed out on the floor of his hotel room, and he's waiting on my and Juvaun Kirby like we were his only children!
Not to mention, that it was Paul Smith, who smacked the Rob Liefeld out of me. Well, maybe there's still a little rob hidden away, but were it not for him, I doubt that I'd ever have gone into education over-drive!
So, even though he's not going to see this, I'd like to publically thank Paul Smith for playing the role of Yoda, in my life.
One day, I need to go back and see him.

I'm kind of curious, as to why you were in his room....
:)
That does seem pretty coo, seriously. I might have to check this book out, because with the exception of J. Torres (who I've never read anything from) and Keron Grant (Who's art, I just dislike most of the time) I like all of the creators!

Pearson just doesn't do enough in a year to satisfy me at all. Same can be said for Paul Smith, who was one of my biggest inspirations when I was 12 and first saw his artwork in Uncanny X-Men #165. Damn, you're right John, that Bachalo cover is sweet. It makes me look forward to that Ultimates team-up he's working on.
I might have to come out of my comic buying retirement just to buy these comics...
...and Jim Lee's Batman, too.

Lucky for you then, that all of those stories, talked about in that link, are all IN THE SAME BOOK!!! :)
and yea, I'm definitely looking forward to Batman (http://penciljack.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19010)!

Oh, Jason Pearson knows his female anatomy quite well, Ra. What you see in this particular image is an evolved Jason Pearson, who's style has changed from when last I saw his work. Pearson did some Penthouse Adventure Comix work a long time ago with dead-on female anatomy, so he's definitely capable.
and are we really to the point where the word "breast" has to be edited?
Sheeeeyat. If Jason Pearson is in it, than I'm there. To echo Pop, he had to abandon normal anatomy, basically to allow himself more expressive freedom. He's still drawn one of the coolest Savage Dragon ever (called "Blood and Guts" I think). That dude is closing in on mastery status.
