avatars?

Hey, I'm guessing it's called an avatar, but how do you post one of those nifty little pictures that go under your name? I would love to post a pic under my name, but unsure as to how, or if I even have that kind of clearance on here. Can somebody help out here please?

first you need 150 posts, but don't spam your way to 150 posts like some people then go to options and edit option then scroll all the way down and either upload an avatar or link it from a picture you've already uploaded on the internet.
