Timesplitters 2 for PS2

i just read in electronic gaming monthly that there will be no online support for timesplitters 2 for the PS2... i think that's one of the only reasons it was on my list of "must buy" games... now it's on the "maybe" list

goddammit....that's really stupid. TS1 was one of the fastest most fun fps's i played on ps2. i was hoping TS2 was gonna be online, 'cuz broadband 12 player woulda been SOOO much fun.

If you read the new PSM that came out yesterday, you would have seen that ts2 is the game of the month and they gave it a nine out of ten. So I'm still going to pick it up when it comes out though, I really liked the first one. The screen shots in the mag looks like its going to be a good one. It also says in here that while there is no online play there is i.Link and LAN (local area network) compatability.

yeah, but do you knwo six people that are gonna lug their playstations and tv's to your place and hook all that shit up? why didn't they just take the time to put online play in the game and release it at a later date... maybe in time for the holidays.
i don't doubt that's it's still a good game, but i'm really hankering for some frag-fests on my PS2!
