Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know about my first self-published small press book, AKA #1 (of 3), available now through Ferret Press.
http://www.ferretpress.com/books/images/aka1_cover_painting.jpg
I am the writer/publisher, and the artwork is handled by the multi-talented Steve Black. AKA is a fun little detective story featuring two female leads, and mixes its sense of adventure with a healthy dose of humor. Here’s what some of the folks who have read the book are saying about it:
”The first thing that you notice about this book is the striking colour cover that has the look of a 50’s children’s book or a Norman Rockwell painting. The interior art is just as impressive.” -- SilverBulletComicBooks.com (http://www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com/smallpress/10322606333125.htm)
“The writing in this story is excellent. The story moves along at the perfect pace yet still takes time to develop the characters in a compelling way too.” -- IndyUniverse.com (http://www.indyuniverse.com/reviews/review_page.asp?PubID=00025&PubTitl e=AKA+1)
“Naraghi and Black strike me as an extremely promising writer/artist team with great potential. I definitely want to see more of what they can do, and I’m looking forward to future issues of AKA.” -- ComicBookGalaxy.com (http://www.comicbookgalaxy.com/reviews_archive_090902.html)
You can read the first 4 pages, preview more of the artwork, and (most importantly ;) ) order the book from my website: www.ferretpress.com (http://www.ferretpress.com) (And don’t forget to sign up for our mailing list while you’re there!)
As an incentive, everyone who orders a copy by December 1 is entered in a drawing to win this AKA sketch, penciled, inked, and water colored by series artist Steve Black:

Thanks for supporting small press and indy publishers, and I hope you’ll share your thoughts on the book with me via e-mail or this forum.
