way to go, those things are actually really good for you, if you can just keep the initiative.
it's not the size of the drill, it's how you use it. get a metal drill and go at it. find out what type of metal it is in your doorway, if it's armoured or whatever it's called then tell the guy in the hardware store and he'll show you what type of drill you need. also there's no point in running the drill at superdupervelocity speed, when you buy the type you need it sometimes almost always tells you what speed you should set the drill to.
I want one of those bars too with the ankle cuffs with 'hooks' on them so you can do situps upside down but mainly to stretch out the back. it looks very comfy. hehe
if you have a hallway that's narrow enough you can span the handle bar between those walls. Doorways are narrow and it makes the handlebars sturdier not to be stretched out too far but if you find some other spot for it, go for it.

You might be trying to drill through metal using a drill piece designed for wood.
Check you're using a metal type drill piece.

Don't confuse the boy. We call 'em drill bits in America.

thanks guys don't have a garage live in an apartment.. if finally got a better drill and drilled that sucker.
i have 4 brackets the first two i set it up high so i can do pull ups
and the other 2 i set it up lower so if i hang on it my knees actually hits the floor. the reason for this is because i hang myself upside down with the back of my knees supporting my weight.
now all i kneed are bat ears.
