GREAT NEWS about my college internship!

Okay, some of you have heard this from me already, but only a few of ya, so get this:

I am a Communication major (insert snide and well-deserved COMM major joke here) at a liberal arts university. So, for my internship, I have walked away with the impossible--

I am doing a COMM internship drawing comics !

How did I convince my department head of this? Utter manipulation and not backing down. I convinced him that drawing comics-- or, rather, communicating a message with only pictures-- is one of the most difficult ways to communicate a message, and if I did it well, then I am a Communication GURU. Well, somehow, it worked!

So I'm getting PAID for a gig I already had to draw comics I love AND I'm getting COLLEGE CREDIT for it! Hooray for me!

Just thought I'd share. Thoughts/comments/rants?

I was a art major in college so it was a little easier to convince my professors that an independent study drawing comics for credit would be in my best interest. Was a lot of fun and learned a lot and even tried to do it again but much more extensive (coloring, lettering etc rather then just pencils as was the first time around) but my professor shot me down.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Just to keep you updated, I've already done 90 hours (good Lord) of internship already-- 90 more, and I get my 4 college internship credits... geez.
