Damnit, i wish i would have caught the name. but it's studio Ghibli, so you know it's going to be good. From what i saw, there was a little girl riding on the back of a white (eastern) dragon.

Do you by any chance mean Spirited Away?

Spirited Away is Japan's biggest film ever. It beat Titanic for highest gross in Japan. I saw clips of it on Ebert & Roper over the weekend. It looks absolutely amazing. Miyazaki's best, is what I hear.
It's opening in limited release this Friday.

yeah, that was precisely what i was talking about. Now that you mention it, though... I think that Mononoke beat Titanic as well, so it doesn't seem like such a big deal.

The ending is a bit weak, from what I've heard, but the animation is amazing.
My girlfriend picked up an import of the DVD at Dragon Con, but I still haven't seen more than a bit of it... she made a dub-tape for me but since I'm in deadline crunch hell for the next two weeks I haven't had two hours to spare, even for Miyazaki. With subtitles you have to pay attention...
My brother bought me the "Art Of:" book for that movie. Got it several months ago and didn't put it down until I moved. Pretty cool looking stuff. And they really use some innovative 3D in some of the scenes, too.

what I saw on the trailer...it looks awsome.
