If you're referring to the Tournament thats happening right now you're too late, I'm afraid.

I'll put you on the 'cancellation list' if you want?



Aside from that, I'll just give you a little run-down on the basics of THE ARENA Challenges forum and how it works (because you don't seem that clear).

If you want to challenge someone to a draw-off, you start a thread entitled something like 'I challenge **** to a Spiderman draw off' - and then they come into the thread and either accept or decline.

If you want to give an open challenge (to anyone who'll accept), just call the thread 'Spiderman draw off' and anyone who wants to join in will enter the thread and list their name.

You set the rules of the draw off in the same thread (state whether pencils, inks, colour - deadline date etc).

When teh deadline arrives and all pictures are ready - you post a new thread in the Arena and attach a poll, so that people can vote on who's picture is best.

All this is written in the FAQ and forum guidelines etc that you'll find at the top of the thread listings (which you might want to read).

Limbo looks kind of like a 'fairy tale' hell.
Its rocky and barren and there are lots of Goblins and demons there - if I remember correctly.

Magik was the ruler of Limbo and commanded all the demons until they lead a revolt against her - again, if I remember correctly.

Limbo is where unbaptized people go to. It sounds much better when you say goblins and demons.

BTW, Magik is Illiana Rasputin, Peter Rasputin's sister. If you don't know who Peter is, that's Collosus. You know, metal guy with funny accent that made a big deal about his lil sis being dead and turned all evil like because of it. Yeah, that's Magik.

Actually, limbo is a half state between heaven and hell, otherwise known as Pergatory. It's an invention of the catholic church, in the Decree of Union drawn up by the Council of Florence in 1031.

It's not necessarily where unbaptized people go, but if you've committed what's known as Venial sins, or not Mortal sins, you'll go to pergatory, where you may at some point reach salvation. The flames of pergatory are only hot enough to burn away the lighter "material" or earthly bindings.

The kicker is, all in pergatory will be rejudged on Judgement Day, whenever that is, so you may end up going to Hell or Heaven, depending on if you prayed really hard. There is still hope in pergatory, in hell there is none.

Imagine you're in Alberqurque, it's kinda like that...

You know what? I just had another idea. What if the tournament winner gets all the original tourney artwork? I know Its something that shoulve been stated before anyone joined but I think it would inpsire more people to do better. Or atleast for the next tourney since there isnt really any prize besides the pride and honor of being the best.

I think there are going to be a few *insert your favourite curse here*'s :mad: that don't turn up for this tournament.

I've checked people's profiles and some haven't been on the boards for over 3 weeks.

Others have posted less than 10 times in their entire time on Penciljack and have failed to confirm their continued involvement despite my reminder PM's and, in some cases, personal Email chasers.

I hope I get proved wrong - but don't think I will be.

I've done my best to keep everyone in this and chased the whole pack at regular intervals. Seems it takes even more than that with some individuals though.

So, what do we all think? - if your opponent doesn't show up, you get an immediate pass through to the next round?.

Thats the only fair way I can see.

I hate unreliable people. Their names will be worth nothing.
I apologise to anyone who finds themself without an opponent when the deadline arrives. It sucks.

This was going to be very cool adn fun and it is really sad that so many people havn't even gotten ahold of you yet. I was hoping that we could do more of these in the future. It's a shame if there are ANY no-shows, much less a whole lot of them.

It's only fair to the individual who worked hard to get their drawing done to be moved forward if their opponent doesn't show. It won't be as satisfying, but definitely well deserved.

Well, I have 14 images already.

And looking at the entrant list I think there are another 11 people who wouldn't let us down. They're just biding their time with their pictures. ;)

1 Go to www.deviantart.com and sign up for a free account.

2 Go to your controls at that site and upload your entry (you do this by clicking on the button Submit Deviation or something similar to that).

3 Go to your account and click on your now uploaded entry. It should look all nifty.

4 Copy the link of your entry.

5 PM the link to Beastie or post the link on this thread. PM is best for it directly notifies Beastie without him having to search through this thread for the link afterwards.
