how's the new he-man and armada cartoon

being up here in the great white north . we dont get it here.

as far as i know about the new he-man is the new toys. the main reason i dont like the new he man is because they changed he-man's power sword. like there was nothing wrong with his old power sword, the new one looks like its been held together by rivets and designed by homer simpson.

and the armada toys suck of kiddie tonka toy likeness.

does their cartoon counterpart suck as well.

Armada lost me completely in the 1st episode - if it gets better someone let me know.

He-man, however, has been pretty enjoyable so-far. Of course, my son got the electronic skeletor which came with a copy of an old episode and we watched that right before the new series came on. Some things are similar, but the changes are mostly for the better, I think.

He-Man's ok. Armada sucks. IT's just as bad as Robots in Disguise. Some of the voices are the same too.

I can't stand either. The final battle in the He-Man premier was pathetic... having your characters leap around and strike a pose (vogue!!) for 45 minutes is no way to choreograph a fight.

I'm with Inkthinker. Both are lame. Huge let down. I'm from Canada (Winnipeg) as well but I moved to the States for school 9 years ago, trust me, your're not missing anyting.

I remeber when the WILDCATS cartoon came out. It had such a short run I never saw it on TV so a bought some videos of it. Man did I feel stupid! It was so crappy.

I watched them both last night....

I was pretty disappointed with both series. The worst thing being not only have they turned Transformers into a Pokemon rip-off, but they've dumbed down this stuff so badly. Watching the first episode *premiere movie* I couldn't believe that about half way through they essentially played the whole beginning again!! Are kids really so slack-minded that they won't even remember what happened at the beginning of the show they're watching??

Although, I did like how they incorporated "why alien robots are created to turn into modern earth vehicles"...even if they actually turn into them before they even leave Cybertron...

He-man I thought was cool...cheesy, yet cool...at least for what it was. There was some really cool animation, I thought. But, yea the whole jumping around and then striking kung-fu poses seemed silly.

I DO hope that these shows are cancelled, so they don't sully the memories I had as a kid of these cool ass cartoons! *And no, I don't buy the friggin comics either!*Come up with something new for crying out loud!!

Dude .. he man is on YTV in the vortex... .. not sure if its saturday or sunday... but look it up in the guide... i only stumbled onto it by accident last weekend... first episode so you wont have missed much other than the back story...

its pretty good... if you plug your ears every time skeletor talks...
they should have used that voice for ORco..... ughhhh!!!!.

He Man seems OK, only seen one episode,
Watched Armada twice, then dug out my eyes with a spoon. I wonder if it's this bad in Japan, or if it lost something in the translation. It's probably not popular in Japan eother, cause giant robots make lousy hentai.

since the majority thinks it sucks... will the comic versions be hurt by the suckiness of it all.

i myself will not buy any he-man.. toys or comics.. the sword sucks for the love of god.. i cant believe there is no outcry, its like changing the sword of omens.

as far as armada.. armada prime toy will be the only armada i might ever buy if it looks ok in person. ill check out ytv for he-man thanks by the way for the info..


good thing there was no cartoon remake of thundercats or american remake of battle of the planets.
