View Full Version : not just my thousandth post...

not only is this my one-thousandth post here at penciljack, but I wanted to let everyone know that my daughter has successfully found her toes.
Yes, that is right. We have a million toys and swings and mobiles, that play music and have lights and have little plastic rings on them that rattle. So what does she like doing the most? Lying on her back, holding her feet with her hands, and rocking back and forth, until she wobbles onto her side and is stranded like a turtle...
she's gonna be a genius, I tells ya

I don't have any kids ("Thank God," I hear you scream), but if I ever steal one or something, I think the toys they will get will be as follows:
--a cardboard box
I mean, I've seen kids. I know what they actually play with. Buy them a $100 toy and they'll play with the box. Just saving time and money.
Plus, everyone knows that a box can be a time machine, a self-duplicator, and a transmogrifier, and if any kid needs more fun than that, they're clearly spoiled.
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG In this post where you are talking about your 1000th post, I made my 1337 post. 1337! `/34|-| 848`/ `/34|-|!!!!!!11 Someone take a screenshot.

When I was 9 or so, my parents bought a new refridgerator. I swear, my little sister and I had the BEST time playing with that cardboard box for some reason. We pretended it was a car and a cave and then finally climbed into it and rolled down the hill in it all day until it fell apart. It was FUN!

Woot! I recently reached my 1000 post too! Now I can I have something else instead of "Senior Member", not that thats nothing to be proud of.
Definitly a PJ milestone.
Yeah cardboard boxes are underrated.

Yeah, when placed in front of empty plastic bowls (and lids) on one side and a basket of toys on the other, my niece would ALWAYS play with the bowls for hours on end. I agree with the cardboard box idea in theory, but I just know I'm going to get my daughter tons of stupid toys that are completely overkill.

We had a tree uprooted by a tornado in our back yard. A sideways tree is the best toy EVER!

Red7ine - is she rolling yet? If, not I'd recomend not developing the rolling thing for a bit - once they're mobile you have to pay attention to them. No more turning on the lights and music in between game levels to keep them quiet.
Thank god they do dumb, cute and endearing things in regular intervals because the time between figuring out locomotion and understanding complex language is a guantlet of stress.

I forgot to add this to my post:
..just in case anyone actually thought I hate babies.

tell me about it... yeah, last night she was doing donuts on the floor... looked like a smaller, slower version of Curly from the 3 Stooges.. she did a complete 360 degree turn on her back, pushing with her feet. pretty funny. And when she is sitting on my lap while i'm playing Super Mario Sunshine, she's constantly grabbing at the controller.
and last night, I could have sworn she was laughing at Marcellas not using the veto on himself on BB3...

Yeah..most of the time i try and stick to "judge not lest ye show your own ass"....but, i'm sorry, marcellas is a dumb mothertrucker.
