I went with bears. :D Those are great bears! :D The rest of the piece appeals to me: composition and style. I think Dreek's Wolverine is bigger and bulkier (Which reads better in a lot of ways), but JC's composition is better in my eye.

Dangit! The picture I posted on Facebook is the whole image. I tried uploading with my tablet and something fudged up. JC, can you please remedy this? My computer fried on me and times are tough money wise and I cannot afford a new one yet, so uploading is tough somewhat. I feel this needs a redo, sorry man. I don't mean to sound like a little girl about this.

JC one of your strongest pieces imo bro. Really well done. maybe next time Polar bears??? just saying with the snow and all :D and all. I know they are hard to draw/ paint but the blood on the white fur would pop like crazy. but I still love this pic!

I have to tell you JC, I saw your piece and had to scroll back up to make sure it was yours. It didn't really look like your work. But what ever you did, it really works. DEfinitely one of your better pieces. Unfortunately, i did vote for dreek. :)

Dreek's piece came off a bit flat to me this time around. It's got a lot of elements, but the sense of space just isn't reading.

I feel a better sense of the space with JC's piece, and the simple composition works better.

I won't lie. I procrastinated til 3 day before the match was due. I am sorry I didn't give it my all. I had a pay gig that took priority. I really need to manage my time better.

JC's piece looks great, and light years away from the stuff he was uploaded not very long ago. I have to say that the bear's pose in the top right doesn't like very bear like, more like a man in a bear's suit, so what should appear threatening looks almost comical.
Dreek's piece doesn't have very much depth, but I have to say that I really enjoyed how the slashes across the bear's face was rendered. It seems brutal and realistic, yet a stark contrast to the cartoony looking wolverine looming above him. JC gets the vote here.
