Voted for the render. Not terribly enthused by either concept. The text in both just really detracts from the image.

I like the scene Pell was going for, but my vote eventually sided with the better rendering/structure of RR.

This is an interesting competition and I like them both for evoking a sense of nostalgia for Golden Age Horror comics that were in print long before most of us were around! Went with Reggies for the Crypt-Keeper. Nice job to both competitors!

Nice pieces from both of you. I like that pell added a price/date numbering. I think both would have been awesome with a layer/filter that aged them and make them look like worn comics.

Thanks, Diesel. I actually thought of that when I missed a spot in the coloring and it looked like cracking around the binding. Maybe next time.

I knew the rendering would work against me. But when time got tight, I decided to concentrate on finishing, which was the demon to conquer in my last two Pummel pieces. I'll focus more on the rendering in my next street fight with Deth.
