Voted for scorpio because the though the style is simplified, its consistent, and helps to heighten the contrast between the two different versions. Metsuke's batmen both have problems with their chests: the new one seems too flat, and out of proportion with his arms and legs; the old one seems like its not rotated enough for that motion.

I want to note that this is a Voting Thread and although I don't mind constructive criticism like what tudore had to write, (thanks for your perspective comments, btw) unconstructive, snark comments do nothing for me.

As you said. It's a voting thread. The point is to vote and if participants are lucky they get to hear in general terms why someone voted for them. I don't go into in-depth analysis of my votes in voting threads because I don't like to skew voting.

But if you must know why I voted against you highlight the following:

OK fine.

Your batmen look pretty much identical. With the exception of a slight difference in ear size and the fact that one looks like he's wearing basketball shorts over his costume there's really not anything to communicate which Batman is supposed to belong to which sub-franchise.

As for the render: it has a serious depth problem. One batman comes off as giant compared to the other. Mostly because he's punching the wall while standing completely vertical. Meaning that the distance between his shoulder and the wall can at the most be what? 2.5 3 feet? Yet there's a whole other batman crouching in that 2.5 feet. Punching batman also has a shadow that disappears into the wall.

Yeah, I think you both could have pushed the contrast, and potential humor, in the difference in generations.

I can take crit, LOVE IT...I'm like a masochist and I'm never going to argue with someone's assessment.
Vote how you want, comment what you want, but if it's weak, I'm going to call you out.
LD's second set of comments were borderline, but he provided an outstanding crit and that saved him having to deal with me go

As far as a WIP, like most everyone else I'm swamped with work and blessed with family, so I've been coming in very late with these. I did prepare some proper lineart and then lost internet almost at zero hour. It still contains the crit problems.

I will PM you something provided its not 3 hours left on the countdown clock. Blamito has also offered, but it seems like most the time I was matched up against him, or in last minute.
