Welcome to another installment of the Penciljack Weekly Sketch Group. Every week there are new topics posted for you and your fellow artists to draw, so why not sharpen your pencil and join our happy band of sketchers today :)? If you have any ideas for sketch group topics you'd like to see in a future installment of the WSG, please PM me the details and I will endeavor to include them!

Weekly Sketch Group #265 Topics:

1. The Black Widow:LINK (http://marvel.comuniverseBlack_Widow_%28Natasha_Romanova% 29) Played by Scarlett Johanssen in the Avengers Movie. Draw ANY version of the Black Widow you like best, or redesign the character as you would like to see her portrayed!

2. Zombie Animals: aka "The Squawking Dead". As if people turning into Zombies wasn't bad enough, the virus has now jumped species and is affecting birds, who are passing it onto every other animal on earth too. Draw your favorite bird/fish/ animal zombie-fied :)!

3. Original Character or Concept:

In early 19th century America, the loyal bond between three brave swordsmen is all that stands between a burgeoning young country and that long dark night. One part bodyguard, one part spy, one part Marine they must battle the storm of thieves, spies, and traitors to show that they and their country can remain - Indivisible!
All three characters wear a uniform of a dark blue frocked watch cloak and navy blue tri-corner hat. All also bear a small golden coiled rattlesnake pin, as a mark of their time as US Marines. Above that is pinned a copper US Marshal’s badge. They each bear a brace of 1805 Harper’s Ferry flintlock pistols, in addition to their sword.
SAMUEL STRONG, “THE LIEUTENANT”; SAMUEL has blond hair that is very wavy and flairs dashingly in the front. He is a born leader with a strong chin and proud green eyes. His posture is always excellent and suggests his nature which is forthright. SAMUEL believes in doing what is right and good. On his hat is a yellow cockade (a symbol of his officer status). He bears the original Mameluke Sword of Prince Hamet (viceroy of the Ottoman Empire) given as a gift of honor of the day an American flag was raised in victory at Tripoli.
JAMES DRAKE, “THE FIFER” ;. JAMES is dashing and handsome with a lithe build. His long queued red hair is kept tied neatly with a black ribbon. He is prone to lacy cravats and expensive silk garments. JAMES is a romantic of the first order, and prone to getting into troublesome romances. JAMES is a talented musician, particularly with the Fife, and can usually be found with a Fife, pipes, or other instrument at any given time. He is an affirmed believer in liberty and the rights of the common man. JAMES fights with a French foil , however he is the least skilled fighter of the three, and often finds himself in trouble.
THOMAS BLACK FOX, “THE KNAVE”; His black hair and dark eyes compliment this dark nature, and his hair is unkempt. He is often sporting a five o’clock shadow and bears a sword scar on his left cheek. There is a bit of a dangerous feel about THOMAS. THOMAS usually goes only by his first name or uses the name THOMAS FOX, but he is the son of Cherokee Chief Black Fox and a white woman (Lily Thorpe). He seldom wears things that encroach on his neck, and is often wearing a dark pair of leather moccasin boots. Thomas is quiet, pensive and brooding with a dark and bloody nature. He is concerned with justice more than law, never asks permission, and believes the ends justify the means. THOMAS fights with a Colichemarde blade, but is also known to carry a steel tomahawk that he is quite skilled at throwing.

And there you have it my fellow Sketcherz! Sharpen those pencils and draw right :)!

Thanks... It was from a terrible pencil sketch, I painted over it with PSPX... the sketch looks nothing like it, but left a few lines in the shadow areas lol...

lol...I was serious too! Since I realize that making a movie would be an improbability for me, I have decided to incorporate time travel into my comic series and have my team of heroes help Jesus' brother Jesse Christ fight off a zombie invasion. Noah's arc is their last stand, but is the boarded up vessel of wood enough to stop the zombie apocolypse? Stay tuned!

I followed your thread about the gal, and agree that there are a number of things to fix, but I just love the legs. Awesome drumsticks:-) The rest is just all those tiny mistakes we always seem to make - it's the same feeling for me every time I post something.:-)

Love the posts, Everyone, they managed to push me into motion in the end and put a decent piece together. Well, I'm cheating a bit as that's not a completely new picture, but an overpainting of my year-old pencils from the celebratory WSG #200. Well, I just wanted to use that tiny ref to SCJ in the Black Widow topic as an excuse to draw her again :-$ Hope you don't mind.
