Wow! (I know, I say that a lot - but so many pieces/people here bring out that reaction in me!)
Thats really a beautiful piece! Well done!

Because his gaze/posture is pointing up, up and away, his hands pointing down looks a little like a zombie or puppet master. Love the rendering and cape motion though.

throw in some muscles in the right leg, fix the hands as stated above, and the S logo on his chest needs fore shorting.
clean drawing, cape looks a bit ridged. there also seems to be a very well rendered pencil in the sky next to kal-el...
kinda weird, looks like its gonna stab him in the arm. lol

I agree with Ghostcat the hands are awkward to me. It's the kind of hand pose that should have lighting coming out or some sort of energy. If the hands were pointed to where he was looking it would be a stronger piece. That being said I think you have good lines and I dig the style. The rendering is handled well as well. Good work and keep drawing!!!

pretty sweet rendering but the cape looks flat to me,not conviing the flying vib.

nice piece! i agree with the hands thing as stated above but also the placement of the cape around his chest is confusing the lines of his torso which is very nicely rendered. the cape on our right in particular looks like a rather large lat that's sticking out! love the overall rendering though!

Good observations everyone thanks! I do have a nasty habit of mailing the hands more like he just dive into a pool and is swimming rather than flying. I will keep that in mind the next time. If I do this JLA piece I will keep the critique in mind!

I agree with the previous comments. I just want to add the pose has to fit the character. This pose would be perfect for Dr. Fate or the Spectre.
A Spider-Man swinging pose should not be used for a Batman swinging pose or any other character. The pose fits Spidey character.
Yon can tell a story with your character pose.

Nicely done. Very impressive (with a nod to our more experienced and knowledgable members' comments). This is going in my screen-saver.

As for the critique, there is nothing else that I can say that the others haven't already stated.
Brilliant work indeed! I enjoyed this very much.

I give much respect to these types of poses. They are hard to pull off.

Great drawing man! I agree about the pose that doesn't fit the character, but you drew him very well. It reminds me the same vibe Gil Kane had in his drawing poses. The only 2 cents from me is that the "S" on the chest should follow more the chest line

Great call! I couldn't put my finger on the influence, but yes, Gil Kane!

Yeah, great rendering, great shading, my only gripe is like everyone else, i would prefer a strong flat palm facing upward pose
