Let's get the show started a little early....topic was "80's Cartoons"

Well done Dann, this is a great cast of characters too!
Ughhhh...I forgot to put that this is a Monthly fight in the heading.

I'm torn. Morganza's is way more solid and an all around better piece, but Dann's has got ALL the saturday morning goodies that I want to vote for. Hell, he even threw in the snorks and smurfs. So I don't know which I really think should win.
Was the topic "wake up kids it's Saturday morning"?

Morganza had the technical, but Dann's is a complete piece, and a STUNNING one at that! My vote went to Dann for composition, color, storytelling and WOAH factor... o.O I'm STILL trying to find characters!

I love both of these pieces! I agree that Morganza's penciling is of a higher caliber, but Dann's piece captures the over the top awesome of 80s cartoons.
I do have to point out though that bigger difference between the sky and Mumra's skin should have been done. Especially at the horizon. It uh... sorta.... kinda.... looks like he's having a wardrobe malfunction, if you catch my drift. The hand pointing directly at his party palace doesn't help o.o

I have a feeling this one is going to be very close. After hemming and hawing, I went with Dann's because it had more energy and just screamed 80's to me. Great job on both pieces though guys!

Morg I was going to go with yours Buddy when I 1st saw it but Damn ,Dann brought it.
aside from a few Bad tangents on Dann piece well done !

This was a really tough pick for me, both entries have their strong points. I had to go Dann, he brought a lot of fun and really nailed the topic.

While Thundar was my "can't miss" show as a youngster,and morganza did a great job capturing these characters,Danns' entry is filled with nostalgia.

I like both of these a lot, and this is a great way to kick off the PUMMEL voting for June! I'm normally a sucker for pencils and Morganza has some of the best around these parts, but Dann has been bringing the sheer, unbridled chaos recently in his work and I really like what he did this month too. After mulling this over for a while I had to go with Dann this time out. Nice job guys!

Very difficult indeed! Morg's pencils are brilliant and Dann's piece was thorough; may have to sit on a decision!

In the end I had to go with Morganza. Dann's was wider reaching for sure but it came down to better draftsmanship and rendering and I think Morg was just a bit more on the mark. Very close, guys. Both should be proud either way. It was a pleasure to get to see these.

I voted for Morg cause I love the anatomy but you could not go wrong voting for either piece. Dann's piece came out awesome.

I like Dann's more from concept to completion. Were it in black and white this wouldn't even be a close contest.
This is definitely a nail biter for me.
...and yeah, that's a Silverhawk in the upper corner.

Liono is very well done
but the color and inking are really off-putting to me
Morganza's has less Charisma or whatever... but is more consistently solid; and the composition flows better.
I'mm have to think on this one.
Wow....I don't remember a match that's had 60 votes in the recent past!
Morg...I think we broke a record maybe?? Or, at least close to it!

Understandable....I was trying to go for that old school cartoon feel on this...guess it didn't come out the way I wanted it to.
BUT...plus side...73 votes!!
Not sure why I care, I just think it's cool that our match got soooo many votes.
