I'm going to keep this simple.
How awesome is Night Of The Owls?

I like how the story is told with a lot of back history to it. Really smart writing here by Scott Snyder. I see the Court of Owls will have a long history with the Batman comics.

Oh definitely. I think is going to turn out to be a classic Batman story. I even bought Nightwing and Batwing, which I normally don't read, and even they were pretty good. Can't wait to seehow this unfolds. Kinda curious to read the All-Star Western issue too.

Care to tell us a little more about the storyline? If you were trying to get someone to read it, other than saying it's awesome, what would you tell them about the basic plot of the story. How's the art?
I know all of this already, because I buy the comic, but seeing as this is "Comic Book Club and Comic Analysis," a little more in-depth explanations about what makes you love the story would be appreciated by not only those of us who are enjoying the comic as well, but could possibly turn new readers onto the book.

Ok that's fair.
Caution may contain SPOILERS:
So the Night of the Owls story line really started with New 52 relaunch. The Court of Owls long believed to be a just a story in nursery rhymes told to Gotham's children turns out to be a real secret society that has run Gotham city for over a hundred years. They Target Batman/Bruce Wayne as the protector of Gotham and attempt to drive him mad and destroy him. After Batman proves to be to difficult to destroy the Night of the Owls event begins. The court of Owls unleashes their assassins called Talons on Gotham. Talons are people who have died and the Court is able to reanimate and control to do their bidding. Many of the Talons turn out to have connections to members of the Batman family from their pasts. The Court of Owls unleashes the Talons on Gotham to assassinate some of the most prominant members of the City.
And that is where I'm at so far in the story.
The event crosses many of the Batman Family of titles i.e. Batman, Batman and Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Batwing etc. Although it crosses over I don't think it's necessary to read each of the issues. The main story takes place in Batman and likely you could read just that and get the whole epic storyline. I'm reading a couple of the books involved partly because
I'm already buying them and a couple I don't normally read like Nightwing. I'm being picky about which ones I buy and will probably pick up the trade when it comes out.
The art in the Batman books is as always great. I don't know if carrying this event over to books like Batwing and All-Star western is really necessary but that's what's happening, which is why I say you probably don't have to read all the books invovled.
All in all this is the first really big event of DC's new 52 and it's definitely worth reading. If you haven't been involved since the beginning be sure to pick up the Trades. You won't be disappointed.

I have yet to read the last issues of the Night of the Owls story so I don't know what the ending is like. I do know that in Batman the story is continuing until issue 12. (I think) Can't wait to see Batman take the fight to the Court of Owls.

Holy Crap!!! The ending of Batman #10 was amazing. I did have the big surprise kind of spoiled for me because I hadn't picked up my books from the comic book store I go to and of course I looked at the internet. But regardless what happens in the penultimate issue of the Court of Owls storyline is awesome. This storyline has been carrying on for 10 issues and 1 annual as well as several crossovers during the Night of Owls event. So far this is definitely my favorite book of the New 52.
