This bears further scrutiny. Ncyte's pencils are very nice, and it's a tight pic, but Jugg's is popping out at me more. Hmmm...

I'm voting for Ncyte. Cleanly laid out with lots of detail, even though Sasquatch looks like a giant behind those trees (he isn't supposed to, is he? not sure). Looks good. Juggertha the crop on yours feels too tight, like I just want to pull the camera back a little bit more. Nice colors though (as always!).

This was not an easy one to vote on. Ncyte's pencils are tight. great detail. Juggs colors are just rockin' though (as usual) and he got my vote because of them.

Honestly? Not usually. Sometimes if competitors crit each other in a voting thread, it can get kind of ugly. Other posters usually feel free to share their views and reasons for voting though.

Usually, the pieces are posted in the main weight class thread, and views are said there. Or, ppl might post their piece in another part of the forum for crits.

It's NOT that I don't want to hear from ya, I just want to let ya in on how things usually flow here. Intent can be hard to read sometimes on the net, and I've seen people get called out in threads like this before.


That being said, I am going to say that I really like yours. And I know this will sound odd, but it's the detail in the trees that really caught my eye... Dig that detail.

Ncyte, nice pencils. More line variation would have helped, as I didn't even see Sasquatch at first.

Voted for Ncyte. Better looking figures and composition.

He slipped on your entry this month... you must have left it lying around, I didn't see it posted up. ;)

In all honestly though, if you're actually asking, he's got one arm positioned down to the ground - sort of like a breakdancer's pose (one arm holding up the whole body). As mentioned before, the crop is making that difficult to see.

This is a tough one. Normally I'll take well done pencils over well done colors any time, but Ed's Alpha Flight reminds me more of the John Byrne version of AF than NCyte's does. Both are very well done!
