I'm feeling like the color on her face isn't working well with the pencils. Any advice on making this work? face and hair are done-ish, everything else is still in early stages.

Great work! Check out for her left eye, something is wrong about it.

I feel the lower lip is wrong in your drawing. I think it might be too thick on the right side of her face, if that make sense. The crease also doesn't help ; it's too dark or thick. Maybe attenuate that a bit, and add some pink-ish shade to her cheeks and nose. You might have something a little more skin like.

Watch out for the "smudge effect" as I call it, especially this early when blocking colors. Just go with general shapes of your shading first, and then add details later. I say that because I always get lost when I go into smudging at the beginning.

Someone else might say otherwise, but that's just my honest opinion! :)

Good work!

thx! I'll work on those, don't know how the pink is gonna work out since her face is painted white but I'll try it and see how it looks.

It's lacking some vibrancy, and looks like all the different parts were colored and shaded separately (hope that makes sense)?
Try some simpler/sharper shadows maybe, and playing around with color tints in your lights and shadows could help pull it together more.

few tips: never color with a pure white BG and set a specific light (bright day, cloudy, exterior, interior, artificial lights, sunset) it will help you harmonize all the colors.

Looking good man. Adding in a little flesh tone to face added a lot for being so sudtle. I think you're doing a good job with the face overall, you're really "turning the form," her face feels really dimensional.
