Hi everyone,

So, I'm a little late on getting my art trade piece finished up. Thought I would throw the sketch up for any comments before I apply my finishes.

Hope I didn't spoil your surprise Steve.

Nice thing, a crit would be the tangent being made where the stop sign is touching the hand it kinda gets stuck together, I'd say maybe have the sign post come out of his shoulder and then have the sign bending dipping etc from the weight. I'd maybe rotate his left foot a bit so its sitting more flat on the ground. nice.

It looks like your drawing is askew. Are you drawing on a regular flat table surface? Looks like you might be, and that can cause this sort of distortion. One of the reasons comic artists work on raised/tilted table surfaces is to prevent this sort of distortion from occurring in their art. If you don't have an actually art desk, try getting an art board you can prop against the edge of the table at about a 45 degree angle. I think you'll find that your drawings will begin to improve a lot. I took your drawing into Photoshop just to show you how far things are off, manyfaces. I skewed it some, and I think you'll probably agree that it's a better drawing after it was tweaked. I also made some notes for you regarding Ben's head, hand and the stop sign. Hope this helps:
