Now he offers up his card.. Hmm I am gonna make a format for cards to make this easy.

Scott my card is a Request style, so tell me what you want and I'll get started on it.

No, I know, I'm just going off the list in the first post. It seems Olevander has skipped some people, and I'm not sure what's going on now. I'm coloring my Doctor Strange sketch card right now, but am I gonna get a card in exchange for it? I have no idea.

I think we need to figure out some hard and fast rules about who gets a card and who doesn't. I added a rule about "placeholders only," to take away any confusion, but it seems like people are getting skipped because they didn't put "offering" in their post.

2.5 x 3.5 is the size I used, that's the standard trading card size so I figure we should all stick to that. I plan on getting a collection of PJ trading cards and putting them into a binder, so I'd appreciate it if people just used the standard size.

Necenarro and ajkarp both claimed cards from me without me actually claiming cards for myself so it kinda messes up the balanced of claimed(2) and drawn(4) cards for me. Can I claim another 2 cards and just add necenarro and ajkarp as my claimees or do they have to wait until I post again and have them claim right under me? I think that would be unfair if we claim artists without having to queue.
Also, what about straight up swaps? Like if I want a NickGuy card he can get one from me in exchange if he wants one.

Fatmacomics I think I was the last "open" offering. I had hinted about Star Wars but Larq2525 offered to Spidey. So then I will be your Blacksad man and your offering is still on the table.

If I'm connecting the dots correctly, I accepted ajkarp's offer, then Spidey accepted mine, so Spidey is the last one to make an offer, I believe. That would mean that fatmancomics comes after Spidey.

Another way to look at it is...

ajkarp > drawing Ice for > larq2525 > drawing Punisher for > Spidey > drawing Blacksad for > fatmancomics > open offer

ajkarp's post after Spidey should be further up the page, because it's the one where he agreed to draw Ice for me. However, instead of just editing that post with the info about what he'd be drawing for me, he re-posted it farther down the page.

That's how it reads to me, anyway.

Spidey had a collection of previously created cards , Hellboy, the card in question, was one of them. I had claimed through a query said card and was told to post my claim under the artist whose card I was wanting. So I copied , scrolled down, and pasted my request for Hellboy which I assumed satisfied Spidey's open offer.( Who's On First?) I excepted Larq2525's claim on my offer. Excited as I was by Larq's claim I was also wanting to tie up loose ends meaning find a claim for my offer. Even though I hinted about a possible Star Wars claim to my offer I was willing to sacrfice to help out Fatmancomics. If Spidey wants to follow Larq's flow that's OK with me. I just want to know what happens now to my "Star Wars hint" offer?

Necenarro, i ignored your second claim that was after claiming green sky and being claimed by larq.
You should go ahead and repost that claim again, claiming someone after they offer.

Spidey- Using you as an example, when someone offers up a choice of cards, people can only try to claim one, after you have offered again.
This is to protect your number order and allow you to get as many cards as you send out. You might also consider only posting one pre made card to claim at a time. Just to avoid confusion.

After cleanup, I will ask that people refrain from using this board for anything other then claims.
I open up permission to clean up to either Spidey or Scott, whoever wants to go at it.

Just so those waiting for cards from me know, I haven't mailed Man-Gull, Mohawk Storm, or Afro Samurai yet. I'm going to scan them tonight and send them all out tomorrow (so long as I have the stamps at home, which I think I do).

Also, to clear this up, is Olevander's last post in the Official thread (the post with the Black Widow art) a placeholder? If not, does it belong in that thread? If so, is Olevander claiming fatmancomics' offer?

My recommendation would be that if we want to post our artwork on the board, we do so in the same post that we offered that particular artwork in. Most people have been doing this already, but I think it'd make for a good way to keep the thread clean.

Yes. I'm going to try to move the card art so that they're in the post that they were originally offered in, but that thread is very confusing.

Also, regarding the status of my new cards. I haven't been at my drawing desk since Thursday because I've been at my mom's house visiting, and I'm not going back until tomorrow. So I still owe people two cards but I don't have any way of working on them right now. I'll get them done as soon as I can.

Ok makes sense. We did something similar years ago with Draw each others characters. Each person would draw the a character created by the poster before theirs and so on. The art never left the artists hands though. Thought I could join in but I'm swamped trying to crank out 160 Rittenhouse Sketch Cards. I was hoping to just offer up crds I've already done that I have laying around.

Just rule a 2.5" by 3.5" rectangle and slice it with an Xacto knife and ruler. I got 16 cards from an 11x17 board.

Lol. I did the same thing with my old sports cards' sleeves. I sent Cooza's Thor in a rigid sleeve and got my Black Widow from Olevander in a soft sleeve. It looks more presentable and makes it seem more valuable for some reason, hehe. I gotta say thought, these cards look a hundred times better in person. The quick little note/letter/envelope sketches are cool little bonuses too.

Just posted my Man-Gull card for Greenskyzero in the Exchange Thread.

I packed my cards in sleeves between thin cardboard and gambled with one stamp per envelope. I just sent them yesterday, so I guess it's still possible that they'll all be returned to me. Fingers crossed that they make it to their rightful recipients.

I just went with a rigid sleeve and a folded letter to keep the envelope from being flimsy. Worked out fine. I've gotten hefty envelopes that pack about 10 pages and a card and still under one stamp. I think it's the weight more than anything. I've got the other cards done, but I need to buy more stamps and 'lopes.

I just use my silver metallic prisma and run it along the edges for a border.

I took cereal box cut to envelope size and taped it book style with card between them, didn't pay extra just wrote on envelope "Please do not bend." glad you got it, I was starting to worry.

it's clear gloss spray paint, I used prismacolor pencils to color it, and they were smearing like hell, so I wanted to put some Matte spray on it, but all they had at work was gloss. it really made the colors pop out, didn't look like much when I scanned it though,

Has anyone considered requesting a slightly more adult in nature card? Jesse Munoz's Red Sonja is pretty hot but she'd be even hotter with less chain mail on. I would be willing to try to create a "not-so-clothed" super chick. Although, to be fair, I would have to be equally willing to draw a guy hero unclothed for the ladies.( or lady). Just some thoughts on the subject.

I just wanna make sure you guys know there's a rule about no more than 2 placeholders at a time. Meaning, if you already owe 2 people a sketch card, you have to finish one before claiming another one. That's why I was out of this thread for so long, I owed two sketch cards and thus had to finish them before getting back into it. I just noticed there are people with more than 2 placeholders claiming cards.

John Shine-- Yeah, I've tried putting up cards that weren't requested, and I've seen others do it, but no one really requests them unless they just want to start doing a sketch card. Most people are working on specific "sets" with a theme. I feel for ya.

i also wanna add to the offering a premade card question and idea. I think if the card has been up for more than 24 hours, then you should be able to ask a request... sometimes nobody really wants that character card. I wouldn't be offended if nobody wanted one i offered.

And i wanted to add to how great this thread is, It's a great way to keep the pencil moving everyday, and keeps you on point when you get new and exciting things to draw. I have been telling people about it to get some more members to participate, but none have started yet. But i will keeping drawing trading cards till the thread dies.

I was going through the Exchange thread earlier, digging some really cool work, but noticing that there are a lot of cards not posted yet, going back to June. Is this because they weren't done? I would love to see these pieces, but also if they are not posted it doesn't encourage the thread to continue. Yes, I know I am guilty, I owe one from a couple weeks back to GreenSkyZero, but some folks have continued to take requests without posting fulfilled requests. Remember, keep it a maximum of two cards owed at any given time, and post them when you finish them. Let's be sure this keeps going.
